Meet Our Cats

These cats have a permanent sanctuary home here with us, but we welcome inquiries from those who feel a special connection to one of them.

Meet Chloe - The Adventurous Road Tripper! Chloe here, weighing in at a petite 6 pounds with the energy of a cat three times my size! Sure, someone once said I was "too high energy," but between you and me, I think they just couldn't handle my zest for life—though I'll admit I'm a little protective of my neck from some not-so-great experiences in my past. But here's what really matters: I love going places, I rock a leash like a total pro, and I'm ready to be your adventure buddy who'll explore the world with you, one exciting outing at a time!

Meet Gem - The Independent Ice Queen! Gem here, and at 2 years old, I'm a survivor who knows how to take care of myself—my brother Maple and I made it through a brutal winter in Springfield before landing at the sanctuary. I'm what you'd call independent with a capital I, the kind of cat who appreciates her space and does things on her own terms. I've got some tummy troubles we're working through, but a little digestive drama isn't going to slow down this resilient girl.

Meet Lucas - The Silent Snuggle Sprinter! Lucas here, and at just 1 year old, I've mastered the art of being the strong, silent type—well, mostly because my meow is so high-pitched I only use it for emergencies! The moment you call my name, I come running like my life depends on it, ready to flip over for some quality belly rub time. I came to the sanctuary with my gals Dixie and Maggie (we're distant relatives of Maple and Gem, fancy that!), and while I may not be the chattiest cat around, give me a wand toy or any chance to interact with my favorite humans and I'll show you just how much personality I've got packed into this handsome body.

Meet Dixie - The Queen of Scratchin' and Ticklin'! Dixie here, folks! I may only be 1 year old, but let me tell you, I've got the purrfect combo of sass and sweetness, plus a fur coat that would make even the most stylish cat jealous. I loooove getting my back scratched—seriously, try it and I'll raise up to show you just how good it feels—and a good tickle session will make me one happy kitty. Oh, and I've got a little twitchy thing going on (nothing serious!), so I need snacks throughout the day to keep this fabulous feline feeling fine.

Meet Cinnamon - The Spicy Survivor! Cinnamon here, and at 5 years old, I've earned every bit of my name—I've got flavor, sass, and just the right amount of spice! My sisters Pip, Spitz, Lulu and I were rescued from a hoarding situation in Butler, PA, and let's just say I learned to stand my ground and speak my mind. I'm not your average sweet and docile kitty, but if you're looking for a feisty feline with personality for days and a backbone of steel, then buckle up buttercup—I'm your girl!

Meet Lulu - The Quiet Chest Warmer! Lulu here, and while my sisters Pip, Spitz, and Cinnamon might have the louder personalities, I'm the shy, gentle soul who prefers a quieter life after being rescued from that hoarding situation in Butler, PA. I get picked on sometimes by the bolder cats, but my humans always have my back and keep me safe. I've perfected the art of sitting on your chest while you work with your laptop on your lap—trust me, I know exactly how to position myself so we both fit just right!

Meet Maggie - The Chatty Supervisor! Maggie here, and honey, at 7 pounds of pure personality, I've got opinions and I'm not afraid to share them! I'm the welcoming committee around here—always up in your business (in the best way) to see what you're doing, and you better believe I'll give a proper meow-hello to anyone who visits. I came to the sanctuary with my buddies Lucas and Dixie when our original situation wasn't exactly ideal, but now I'm ready to find a forever home where I can narrate your every move and make sure you never feel lonely again!

Meet Maple - The Friendly Troublemaker! Maple here, and at 2 years old, I'm the ultimate social butterfly who survived a rough winter in Springfield with my sister Gem before finding my way to the sanctuary. I should be rocking a gorgeous long-haired coat, but I'm dealing with some skin issues we're still figuring out—nothing that stops me from greeting everyone who walks through the door or getting into my fair share of mischief, like claiming the top of the gecko cages as my personal perch! The moment any animal walks through the door, I'm there with a warm welcome because in my book, everyone's a friend just waiting to happen.

Meet Marbles - The Snuggle-Begging Survivor! Marbles here, and at 8 years old, I'm the handsome old man of the sanctuary with sleek black fur (okay, maybe a few distinguished white hairs) who was rescued from under a trailer during a Pittsburgh snowstorm. I'm healthy as can be and was actually one of the original family cats before this place even became a sanctuary—so yeah, I've got seniority! Despite everything I've been through, I can't get enough snuggles and I'm not shy about coming right up to you and begging for affection like the love-starved gentleman I am.

Meet Oreo - The Miracle Snuggle Bug! Oreo here, and despite someone literally throwing me out a second-story window (yeah, you read that right), I came out without a scratch and with my heart still full of love! I'm the kind of guy who believes in second chances and unlimited snuggles—carry me around like a baby, and I'm in absolute heaven. Fair warning though: when bedtime rolls around, I've claimed the top of your head as my personal throne, so I hope you're cool with a furry hat while you sleep.

Meet Phantom - The Spicy Troublemaker Who Cheated Death! Phantom here, and at about 2 years old, I'm the cat who literally came back from the dead after being found frozen in a truck engine and brought back to life with a hair dryer—so yeah, I've got nine lives and I'm using every single one! I'm fiercely independent, unapologetically spicy, and I live for the thrill of stirring up trouble, whether that's going after Gem and Lulu, making a break for the great outdoors every chance I get (don't worry, I always come back), or taking a swipe at humans during playtime. You'll know me by my stylish nail caps, because let's be real, I'm not afraid to use these claws and my humans decided everyone's safety was a priority!

Meet Pip - The Scaredy Cat with a Soft Spot! Pip here , short for Pipsqueak, because I could only manage tiny squeaks when I was first rescued. I'm one of the 4 girls (along with Cinnamon, Spitz, and Lulu) who was pulled from that hoarding situation in Butler, PA. I'm scared of life itself and hide every chance I get. The world feels like a big, overwhelming place when you've been through what I have, so I've mastered the art of finding the best hiding spots in the sanctuary. But here's my secret: I will come out for my favorite humans and food, because even the most anxious girl has her weaknesses!

Meet Spitz - The Ultimate Spice Queen! Spitz here, and if you thought my sister Cinnamon was spicy, honey, you haven't met me yet. I earned my name by spitting at my rescuers when they pulled me from that hoarding situation in Butler, PA with Cinnamon, Pip, and Lulu (and yeah, I kept doing it for a while after too). I hate most cats and dogs, and I especially can't stand my sister Lulu who I'll attack every chance I get. Here's a plot twist for you though: I've got a major soft spot for Maple. I'm unapologetically feisty, fiercely independent, and if you're looking for a cuddly lap cat, keep scrolling—but if you want a sassy firecracker with attitude for days, I'm your girl!
